Valery..

.. What have we done

This is my 1964 AP5 Valiant. First car, part of me really. I would crush the Silvia tomorrow for this car.
Basically it was implied to us that it was a car from Dubbo, an inland town, meaning it would have next to no rust etc. How wrong that was..

This is how it currently sits:
Note frankenstein patch on C Pillar, also note frankenstein patch below trim line. They were basically laid over the top of the original steel, so that explains the thickness of the bog on the pillar. I hate whoever did this, so... so much.
At some stage the bonnet has come up at speed, dented the cowl/plenum and they have repaired it by filling the hole with weld... Also check out the rust underneath.
This is the Right Hand Side Rear Lower Quarter Panel. The outer panel was rusted out and fixed in the previous owner's typical manner of slamming some steel on top of the original bodywork and bogging till he couldn't see it anymore. But before he did that he replaced the inner panel...by you guessed it, doubling up panels and blocking water drains!
This is the corner that was removed, I will take better photos some time to show you just how badly he fucked up, and us making it right again!
